Help for Incontinence in Geelong

About Incontinence

Incontinence is very common and can happen to anyone. Symptoms can be experienced to varying degrees. Sometimes there is just a little leakage while jumping, coughing or sneezing while others may experience entire emptying of their bladder at random, and without control.

Bowen is non-invasive and may address different types of incontinence relatively quickly.

How may Bowen Therapy help people with  Incontinence?

Bowen works with the fascia and nervous system and may help to strengthen the signal between the bladder and the rest of the nervous system including the brain. Muscles are controlled by the nerves, and by simply stimulating the nerves near the bladder, clients may report it helps them remain dry. Also, because the nerves around the bladder may be more stimulated, clients may report a stronger sensation of 'needing to go' which helps in the case of the bladder emptying at random times. Bowen may stimulate the 'inner alarm' by creating a stronger sensation of needing to go to the toilet.

Typically 3 Bowen Therapy sessions are required, one per week over a 3 week period, and although everyone is different, often clients may report improvement after the first session.

Intense Moisturizing Ointment Recipe

No Chemicals or Toxins - Completely Edible - Intense Moisturizing Ointment for Incredibly Dry Skin.

Here is the recipe for my intense moisturizing ointment for super dry skin I used for my daughter who had very severe eczema. I started with the recipe out of a book a few years back and over the years I have tweaked it with a few different ingredients and different ratios and find this to be the best ointment I have found. There is a summer and winter version, the winter one stays soft enough to apply during colder months (it gets to around 0-10 C degrees in winter in Australia), and in summer when it can hit 40 degrees C a firmer recipe stops the ointment from melting too much.

Summer Ingredients

175g Organic Shea Butter
275g Organic Coconut Oil
115g Bees Wax
40g Rice Bran Oil
50 Drops of Lavender Oil

Winter Ingredients

175g Organic Shea Butter
275g Organic Coconut Oil
115g Bees Wax
60g Rice Bran Oil
20g Jojoba Oil
50 Drops of Lavender Oil

Method

Double Boil Method
Put all the ingredients (except the Lavender Oil) in a bowl and then put the bowl into a saucepan with about 1.5 inches of water at the bottom. Now boil the water in the saucepan and let the ingredients all melt in together. After it is all melted together add the lavender oil and let it heat another 3-4 minutes while stirring the mixture to make sure it is well mixed up.

Next pour the mixture into your ointment container and put it straight into the fridge without the lid on. This is important because it will make sure the ointment sets properly. If you don't mix the ingredients enough or you take too long to put the mixture into the fridge it will set grainy and be uncomfortable to use. If this happens just reheat the ointment and then pour back into the container and refrigerate.

This ointment doesn't need to be kept in the fridge and doesn't go rancid like some other recipes. It has a long shelf life and really is great for your skin. Enjoy!
